It might not last."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Colorado officials are expected to announce on Wednesday that the state\u2019s reinsurance program \u2014 responsible for what is projected to be a dramatic decline in health insurance prices for some people in 2020 \u2014 has received federal approval and, thus, will go into effect.<\/p>\n<p>This is not a small deal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the biggest tangible step we\u2019ve seen in reducing costs in the private market,\u201d said Joe Hanel, a spokesman for the nonpartisan Colorado Health Institute.<\/p>\n<p>But it is also not exactly a final deal.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because the Trump Administration \u2014 the same one that is expected to sign off on the program \u2014 is also backing a lawsuit to strike down the entire Affordable Care Act, the health law that makes a lot of the funding for the reinsurance program possible.
