Visit LakeDillonTheatre.org for tickets.<\/strong><br \/><em>Courtesy Lake Dillon Theatre Company<\/em><\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The Lake Dillon Theatre Company\u2019s latest play balances humor and empathy with the production of \u201cEvery Brilliant Thing.\u201d The play was written by Duncan Macmillan and its run at New York\u2019s Barrow Street Theatre was filmed for HBO.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Directed by Melinda Pfudnstein, the Lake Dillon play stars Colt Neidhard as the only actor in an interactive monologue performed with audience participation. As a mother battles chronic depression, a son creates a list of everything that makes life worth living, such as ice cream and kung fu movies. This list then continues to grow as time passes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The Guardian calls it \u201cA heart-wrenching, hilarious play \u2026 One of the funniest plays you\u2019ll ever see about depression \u2014 and possibly one of the funniest plays you\u2019ll ever see, full stop.\u201d Meanwhile, Time Out says the play \u201cis sad, but it is also gloriously funny and exceptionally warm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Because \u201cEverything Brilliant Thing\u201d deals with mental health and suicide, it is recommend for teens and adults.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cEvery Brilliant Thing\u201d runs from Friday, Aug. 16, through Sept. 15 at the Henry Studio Theater, 460 Blue River Parkway. Tickets range from $24.50\u2013$44.50.
