BRECKENRIDGE \u2014 On Saturday, more than 190 runners took to a 315-foot elevation gain Breckenridge Oktoberfest 5K Trail Run course that topped out at 9,607 feet. Eleven runners completed the course in 30 minutes or less.<\/p>\n

Scott Jarriel ran away with the competition, crossing the finish line in Blue River Plaza a full two minutes faster than any other runner, in 24 minutes and 11 seconds.<\/p>\n

Julia Hawn also comfortably won the women\u2019s race, completing it in 28 minutes and 28 seconds. The impressive showing placed her fifth overall and 50 seconds ahead of second-place women\u2019s finisher Taylor Spillane (29:18).<\/p>\n
