Copper Mountain Resort and Loveland Ski Area weren\u2019t far behind. Get ready, we will be skiing soon!! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/racetoopen?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#racetoopen<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/cowx?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#cowx<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/G7jWjBDkHD\">pic.twitter.com\/G7jWjBDkHD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Loveland Ski Area (@LovelandSkiArea) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LovelandSkiArea\/status\/1179813389100634113?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 3, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Loveland started snowmaking on two of its beginner runs, Catwalk and Mambo, off the Chet\u2019s Dream lift, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/sports\/loveland-ski-area-honors-former-owner-with-symbolic-first-chair-to-open-season\/\">which was built last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe start up top where it\u2019s colder and work our way down,\u201d spokesman John Sellers said in reference to why the ski area chose the runs. \u201cOur opening day runs are made up of Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ski area plans to continue snowmaking over the weekend with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onthesnow.com\/colorado\/loveland\/weather.html\">forecasts that call for summit temperatures<\/a> as low as 13 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>Copper posted photos of recent snowmaking on its social media channels Thursday.
