The event will feature a night of performances from various artists, with Shara Nova of my Brightest Diamond serving as the musical director.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">While an exact launch date has yet to be announced, Anderson\u2019s residency will comprise monthly Sunday night performances between March and December.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI love Sunday evening shows,\u201d Anderson said in a statement. \u201cThe end of the weekend is such a no man\u2019s land \u2014 an interesting time to play with new combinations. The series I\u2019m planning for Joe\u2019s Pub will feature writers as well as musicians \u2014 sometimes collaborating, sometimes jamming, sometimes making entirely new things. And since it\u2019s election season, hopefully there will be some challenging political moments as artists, writers and musicians confront and express our tumultuous times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Along with Anderson\u2019s own headlining performance, she will help curate other performances from her mentees, collaborators and friends. Additional details about those shows will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Previous winners of the Public Theater\u2019s Vanguard and Residency award include folk musician Judy Collins and solo artist and former Labelle member Nona Hendryx.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Anderson released her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/laurie-anderson-songs-from-bardo-862871\/\">latest project, <em>Songs from the Bardo<\/em><\/a>, in September.
