The clip is part of <em>In the Water,<\/em> a live session series in which musicians perform in meaningful areas of the state.<\/p>\n<p>The clip features the musicians inside Hamlet Depot &amp; Museums, a historic Victorian Queen Anne style train that was once a major hub of transportation. Frontman John Darnielle passionately speaks about Coltrane, recalling that at age 19 he would spend his paychecks at Tower Records. He purchased the late saxophonist\u2019s <em>A Love Supreme<\/em> and<em> Impressions<\/em>. \u201cThey\u2019re life changing,\u201d he said of the records. \u201cThat\u2019s some of the greatest music ever made.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group then launches into \u201cLet Me Bathe in Demonic Light\u201d with Matt Douglas on acoustic. \u201cAnd there I will be,\u201d Darnielle sings in the chorus. \u201cAnd who\u2019s coming with me?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You can watch an extended version of the live session <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=695m0kIkfQQ&amp;feature=youtu.be\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>, in which the band also performs \u201cIn League with Dragons\u201d \u2014 the self-titled track <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-mountain-goats-in-league-with-dragons-826607\/\">from their new LP<\/a> \u2014 \u201cPossum by Night\u201d and \u201cRain in Soho.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mountain Goats have been on an extensive tour in support of <em>In<\/em> <em>League with Dragons<\/em>.
