Sunday night\u2019s storm rolled out of the area Monday, leaving 4-6 inches at Summit County ski areas before the sun and blue sky returned.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday morning, residents woke up to a dusting of snow, and the area is under a <a href=\"https:\/\/forecast.weather.gov\/showsigwx.php?warnzone=COZ034&amp;warncounty=COC117&amp;firewxzone=COZ212&amp;local_place1=Frisco%20CO&amp;product1=Winter+Storm+Warning&amp;lat=39.5791&amp;lon=-106.096#.Xbh4cZNKjBI\">winter storm warning<\/a> through noon Wednesday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>National Weather Service meteorologist Greg Hanson said Summit County is getting the \u201cshort end\u201d of this storm, which is primarily east of the Continental Divide.<\/p>\n<p>He called for about 3 inches in the Frisco and Silverthorne areas and up to 6 inches at surrounding ski areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are expecting things to develop later on (Tuesday) evening,\u201d Hanson said. \u201cThat\u2019ll be your best chance to get some snow up there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Weather Service also reported road conditions are expected to be hazardous through Wednesday morning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf traveling (Tuesday) or Wednesday morning, consider adjusting your travel plans,\u201d the report read.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The storm is expected to roll out of the area by sunrise Wednesday, with some sunshine possible in the afternoon, Hanson said.<\/p>\n<p>The sunshine won\u2019t bring much of a warmup, with a high of 16 and low of minus 8 forecast for Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to get above freezing Thursday, when a high of 39 is forecast.<\/p>\n<p>But after the sun goes down, temperatures \u201cwill be dropping like a rock,\u201d Hanson said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know it\u2019s not uncommon up in the mountains for that, but this time of year it is,\u201d Hanson said. \u201cThis isn\u2019t your normal Halloween season.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/more-snow-below-zero-temperatures-expected-ahead-of-halloween\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Summit Daily<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FRISCO \u2014 Summit County is under its second winter storm warning of the week, and it\u2019s only Tuesday.
