Performance Tours has been a staple not only of Summit
\nCounty but all of Colorado\u2019s High Country for more than three decades. Started
\nin 1986 by Kevin and MaryJo Foley, Performance Tours operates rafting trips out
\nof its Frisco and Breckenridge outposts down to Buena Vista, one of the
\ncountry\u2019s most popular rafting areas. Whether rafting The Numbers or Brown\u2019s
\nCanyon or another waterway down south, families and groups have their choice of
\nBuena Vista rafting adventures out of Performance Tours\u2019 Frisco outpost. But if
\nyou\u2019re looking to stick within Summit County, Performance Tours also offers
\nshorter day trips down a several mile stretch of the Blue River north of
\nSilverthorne. This summer was an especially fun season for rafting on the Blue,
\nas all of last winter and spring\u2019s snowmelt combined with colder-than-usual
\ntemperatures and copious rainfall to peak water flows on the Blue higher than
\nthey\u2019d been in years.<\/p>\n

Through all of those years \u2014 from down years like 2018 to
\nthis summer\u2019s thrilling, raging conditions \u2014 Performance Tours has been the
\nrafting constant here in Summit County. Despite more than a quarter century of
\nexperience and success, Kevin and MaryJo still bring a down-to-earth, homey
\nfeel to Performance Tours, as they still run the day-to-day operations along
\nwith their daughter, Kathryn, who works in the office and son, Dan, who guides
\ntrips.<\/p>\n

The Foleys\u2019 backstory is true Summit County. Kevin and
\nMaryJo met at Breckenridge Ski Resort in the \u201980s, when Kevin was a ski
\ninstructor and MJ worked ski patrol. Since then, the Foley family has always
\nlived in Breckenridge and remained active in the community. With family life
\nbased here, the Foley\u2019s operate four Performance Tours offices, with Buena
\nVista and Ca\u00f1on City hubs along with their Breckenridge and Frisco outposts.
\nWherever you\u2019re rafting with Performance Tours, you\u2019ll be guided by a yearly
\nBest of Summit award winner with the most experienced guides on the river, with
\nmany senior guides and staff members having been with the company since the
\nbeginning.<\/p>\n
