FRISCO \u2014 Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate associate broker Kevin Broadrick has been honored with the Summit Association of Realtors\u2019 2019 Realtor of the Year award.<\/p>\n

Broadrick\u2019s work in real estate began in 2009 with the Summit Association of Realtors, where he worked as the multiple listing service director. <\/p>\n

Broadrick said his experience at the nonprofit member organization inspired him to get his real estate license.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was doing our technology services and teaching classes,\u201d Broadrick said.  \u201cThrough that process, I just got to see the real estate board in action and meet a lot of Realtors. There was just a lot of inspiration for me to get in the business.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2013, Broadrick left the Summit Association of Realtors, earned his real estate license and begin working in real estate sales, all while remaining on the association board. He now specializes in residential and commercial real estate in Summit County, Park County and Leadville. <\/p>\n

After spending five years on the association board, Broadrick became president of the multiple listing service board.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith that comes a one-year term of being president and three years being on the executive board,\u201d said Broadrick, who remains on the executive board. <\/p>\n

As president, Broadrick said he was exposed to a lot of new technology and worked to strengthen advocacy for homeowners as well as community outreach.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not a big board compared to others, but it operates on a really high level as far as the service we\u2019re able to provide,\u201d Broadrick said. \u201cIt\u2019s been a fun process with them. It\u2019s something that I hope to continue to stay involved with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Broadrick also was head of the committee that worked to do a full remodel of the Summit Association of Realtors office in Dillon, which was a three-year project. <\/p>\n

\u201cI just happened to lead the committee on that and put a lot of time and effort into it,\u201d Broadrick said. \u201cI think that was something that was a big achievement for the association this year and probably a big factor for why they nominated me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Summit Association of Realtors board President Thomas Coolidge said Broadrick\u2019s volunteer work was part of the reason he was selected for the award.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the big contributions is it\u2019s not just about the ethical and membership side of the equation because that can be kind of a good ol\u2019 boys club,\u201d Coolidge said. \u201cYou need to have some civic responsibility. Kevin brought forward a great breadth and depth when it came to being the person that we selected for 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Broadrick has given back to the community through extensive work and volunteering through the association, his real estate sales style also was recognized as part of the award.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust as a main philosophy for how I operate, or how I like to think of the industry that I work in, is it\u2019s really not about properties at all,\u201d Broadrick said. \u201cIt\u2019s about the relationships, the people you meet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Because real estate is often a person\u2019s largest purchase, Broadrick said he prioritizes trust with his clients.  <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really about establishing friendship and trust with clients, and I think that\u2019s what\u2019s served me well in the long run because those people come back for business or tell their friends about me,\u201d Broadrick said. \u201cI focus on relationship building as opposed to focusing on homes and stats and trends. Of course that goes along with the business, and clients expect you to know that, but that\u2019s not what gets you the deals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Broadrick attributes his growth as a Realtor to more experienced agents who have served as mentors as well as the association itself, which taught him the big picture of real estate in Summit County. <\/p>\n

\u201cI owe so much to them because they\u2019re really committed to our community and our real estate members,\u201d Broadrick said about those he\u2019s worked with at the association.<\/p>\n

Broadrick\u2019s clients echo his claims of putting people first.<\/p>\n

Tom Rowe purchased two properties through Broadrick, one for business and one for his family\u2019s home. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe always is quick to respond to emails, texts and calls,\u201d Rowe said. \u201cHe always makes you feel like you are his No. 1 priority.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rowe also shared how Broadrick helped him find the right people for a large remodel for his business property and called his connections to ask them to take on the project. <\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of Realtors probably wouldn\u2019t have gone above and beyond like that,\u201d Rowe said.<\/p>\n

Dave Greenberg, branch broker of the Slifer Smith & Frampton Keystone office, oversees Broadrick\u2019s work and said he has known Broadrick since 2008, when he was working at the Summit Association of Realtors. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou could tell that he could manage a lot of personalities,\u201d Greenberg said. \u201cImagine working with 700 Summit County real estate brokers. It\u2019s more than herding cats. He did it with ease, and he\u2019s very level-headed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greenberg said Broadrick\u2019s experience working on the backend of the real estate market has given him a competitive edge as a local broker. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe definitely works harder than most. You have to differentiate yourself from the part-time brokers in our market,\u201d Greenberg said, noting that Broadrick makes himself available on nights, weekends and holidays all while raising his two kids and still partaking in Summit County\u2019s outdoor recreation opportunities. \u201cSomehow, he juggles it all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greenberg said he thinks Broadrick earned the award because of the years of time he\u2019s put back into the community by volunteering with the Summit Association of Realtors as well as other community programs such as community dinners. <\/p>\n

The award was presented to Broadrick by last year\u2019s Realtor of the Year winner, Stacy Shelden, who is also a Slifer Smith & Frampton broker associate.<\/p>\n
