Elton John<\/a>, Randy Newman<\/a> and Cynthia Erivo will perform their Best Original Song-nominated tracks<\/a> at this year\u2019s Oscars, the Academy announced<\/a> Thursday. <\/span><\/p>\n

Idina Menzel with Aurora and Chrissy Metz are also booked for the 2020 Academy Awards, airing live on February 9th.<\/span><\/p>\n

John will deliver his and Bernie Taupin\u2019s \u201c(I\u2019m Gonna) Love Me Again\u201d from Rocketman<\/em>, while Newman \u2014 who is also nominated for Best Original Score for his Marriage Story<\/em> work \u2014 will perform his Toy Story 4<\/em> tune \u201cI Can\u2019t Let You Throw Yourself Away.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Also nominated for Best Original Song are Erivo\u2019s \u201cStand Up\u201d from Harriet<\/em>, Menzel\u2019s \u201cInto the Unknown\u201d from Frozen II<\/em> and Metz\u2019s Diane Warren-penned \u201cI\u2019m Standing With You\u201d from Breakthrough<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, show producers Lynette Howell Taylor and Stephanie Allain revealed that Questlove would make a \u201cspecial appearance\u201d during the awards ceremony and that E\u00edmear Noone would become the first-ever female conductor during an Oscars guest-segment.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to have an incredible group of nominees and performers who will deliver one-of-a-kind music moments you will only see on the Oscars,\u201d Howell Taylor and Allain said in a statement. The p<\/span>roducers added they will announce additional talent in the coming weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n
