Green Day<\/a> put the censors to work Saturday at the 2020 NHL All-Star Game as Billie Joe Armstrong dropped a series of f-bombs during the televised performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band, which agreed to a multi-year partnership with the NHL<\/a> and debuted their track \u201cFire, Ready, Aim<\/a>\u201d as an NHL promo earlier in the season, played a medley of \u201cBasket Case\u201d and \u201cAmerican Idiot\u201d during intermission at the hockey showcase, hosted this year by the St. Louis Blues.<\/span><\/p>\n

While neither track is expletive-filled, Armstrong ad-libbed three \u201cfucks\u201d into his banter with the crowd. \u201cLet\u2019s go fucking crazy!,\u201d he exclaimed midway through \u201cAmerican Idiot.\u201d <\/span>Armstrong\u2019s f-bombs were muted from broadcast by U.S. censors, they were reportedly heard on Canadian television.<\/span><\/p>\n

Soon after Green Day\u2019s performance, the band was trending on Twitter for their f-bombing of a \u201cfamily friendly\u201d event. \u201cFuckin cool fuckin night in St. Fuckin Louis!!,\u201d Tre Cool later quipped<\/a>, while the band\u2019s Twitter also had some fun with the situation:<\/span><\/p>\n
