{"id":803532,"date":"2020-01-27T18:02:24","date_gmt":"2020-01-28T01:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=943984"},"modified":"2020-01-27T18:02:24","modified_gmt":"2020-01-28T01:02:24","slug":"post-malone-on-ozzy-osbourne-parkinsons-reveal-hes-going-to-keep-kicking-ass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/post-malone-on-ozzy-osbourne-parkinsons-reveal-hes-going-to-keep-kicking-ass\/","title":{"rendered":"Post Malone on Ozzy Osbourne Parkinson\u2019s Reveal: \u2018He\u2019s Going to Keep Kicking Ass\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/post-malone\/\" id=\"auto-tag_post-malone\" data-tag=\"post-malone\">Post Malone<\/a> says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/ozzy-osbourne\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ozzy-osbourne\" data-tag=\"ozzy-osbourne\">Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> is \u201cgoing to keep kicking ass,\u201d calling his recent collaborator \u201cso strong,\u201d a week after the rocker revealed that he had been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ozzy-osbourne-parkinsons-disease-940329\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diagnosed with Parkinson\u2019s disease<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Malone, who just hit the stage with Osbourne (and Travis Scott) at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ozzy-osbourne-post-malone-travis-scott-amas-914714\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">American Music Awards in late November<\/a>, says he \u201chad no idea\u201d the 71-year-old\u2019s condition was that serious. \u201cWorking with him and hanging out with him and being around him, you can\u2019t tell,\u201d Malone explains by phone. \u201cYou can tell he has a little difficulty getting around, but he\u2019s so strong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Malone worked with Osbourne on the song \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37yPDL1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Take What You Want<\/a>\u201d off the former\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37yPGqb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>Hollywood Bleeding<\/em><\/a> album, and the singer says he hopes there\u2019s more music in store for his longtime hero. \u201cI know he\u2019s been working on a new project with a bunch of my friends, [and] I\u2019m really excited for him because he\u2019s so passionate about it and it sounds incredible; <em>he<\/em> sounds incredible,\u201d Malone says.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6Hq26Yco1JQ?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>No stranger to unexpected collaborations, Malone sent his well-wishes to Osbourne while chatting up his new Doritos campaign, which debuted with a commercial that aired during Sunday night\u2019s Grammys. The singer, who skipped the awards show despite having a handful of nominations, teamed up with Doritos to reveal a new chip flavor, dubbed \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/fave.co\/30X6Sn3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Flamin\u2019 Hot Lim\u00f3n<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The accompanying press release says the new flavor was inspired by Malone\u2019s alter ego, <em>Post Lim\u00f3n<\/em>, though the singer says it\u2019s much simpler than that: \u201cI\u2019ve been eating Doritos since I could walk, so it\u2019s really cool to be part of this new deal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- .l-article-content__pull--left --> <\/p>\n<p>Malone has a busy 2020 ahead of him. Here are four other things we learned from our conversation with Posty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Post likes it hot<br \/><\/strong>\u201cI like spicy things,\u201d Malone admits, when asked about the new chip flavor (he dutifully adds that Doritos are almost always on his tour rider). It isn\u2019t just chips though: \u201cI like spicy drinks too,\u201d he reveals. He skipped the Grammys for some R&amp;R (and to stay out of trouble)<br \/><\/strong>Though he was up for two Grammy awards \u2014 both for \u201cSunflower,\u201d off the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37DWTWk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em>Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse<\/em><\/a> soundtrack and <em>Hollywood\u2019s Bleeding<\/em> \u2014 Malone decided to stay home in Salt Lake City to relax. \u201cI\u2019m taking it nice and easy,\u201d he explains, about why he skipped the ceremony. \u201cI needed a little break because I\u2019ve been partying a little hard, so it feels good to be back home and playing <em>Call of Duty<\/em>. I\u2019m going to take some R&amp;R and get some beauty sleep so my body and voice doesn\u2019t suck on tour. If I go to L.A.,\u201d he explains, \u201cI\u2019ll get into trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Malone sang \u201cGood Vibrations\u201d with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/mark-wahlberg\/\" id=\"auto-tag_mark-wahlberg\" data-tag=\"mark-wahlberg\">Mark Wahlberg<\/a> on the set of their new film<br \/><\/strong>The trailer for Post Malone and Mark Wahlberg\u2019s Netflix thriller, <em>Spenser Confidential<\/em>, was released last week, showing the singer going toe-to-toe with Wahlberg in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/movies\/movie-news\/post-malone-mark-wahlberg-netflix-movie-trailer-940235\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">intense jailhouse face-off<\/a>. But on-set, the vibe was decidedly more upbeat. \u201cThe first time we met, we did an impromptu karaoke session of \u2018Good Vibrations,\u2019\u201d Malone shares, about working with Wahlberg. \u201cThe man can dance, he can rap, he can act \u2014 he\u2019s just a talented guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. First tour, then new music?<br \/><\/strong>Malone\u2019s set for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/post-malone-super-bowl-show-934871\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Super Bowl party this weekend in Miami<\/a>, before kicking off the second North American leg of his \u201cRunaway Tour,\u201d which resumes February 4th in Omaha (<a href=\"https:\/\/fave.co\/3005saD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">see tickets and dates here<\/a>).
