Per a press release, the series will find the animated outfit teaming with an \u201cever-evolving roster\u201d of collaborators, with episodes coming together in the band\u2019s Kong Studios. The series won\u2019t have a set schedule, with Gorillaz promising the \u201cspontaneous delivery of episodes throughout the year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday, Gorillaz shared the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/OfqJkOVrY2E\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cSong Machine\u201d theme music<\/a>, while today they dropped \u201cMachine Bitez #1,\u201d a short skit featuring members 2D, Murdoc and Russel.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9jkpQCIDM9w?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In a \u201cstatement,\u201d Gorillaz drummer Russel said, \u201c\u2018Song Machine\u2019 is a whole new way of doing what we do. Gorillaz breaking the mould \u2018cos the mould got old. World is moving faster than a supercharged particle, so we\u2019ve gotta stay ready to drop. We don\u2019t even know who\u2019s stepping through the studio next. \u2018Song Machine\u2019 feeds on the unknown, runs on pure chaos. So whatever the hell\u2019s coming, we\u2019re primed and ready to produce like there\u2019s no tomorrow. Y\u2019know, just in case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Gorillaz \u2014 the long-time project of Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett \u2014 released their most recent album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-gorillazs-the-now-now-is-a-focused-call-for-unity-in-hard-times-666812\/\"><i>The Now Now<\/i><\/a><i>, <\/i>in 2018. The previous year, they dropped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-gorillaz-humanz-rings-in-the-apocalypse-in-style-108139\/\"><i>Humanz<\/i><\/a>, which at the time marked their first LP since 2010\u2019s <i>The Fall<\/i>.
