It looks like Atreyu<\/strong> are working on a follow-up to their 2018 album ‘In Our Wake’ – and blink-182<\/strong> frontman Mark Hoppus looks to be helping them out. In a photo posted to the official Atreyu Instagram, the members of the band are featured in a recording studio, alongside Mark and producer John Feldmann. <\/p>\n

If John Feldmann is producing their next effort, this would mark the second Atreyu album produced by him – following their 2007 album ‘Lead Sails, Paper Anchors’. <\/p>\n

In the caption of the post, Atreyu have shared “2020 is already off to a great start”. <\/p>\n

WHO DO YOU FEEL ATREYU ACTUALLY ARE TODAY? WHAT DO YOU FEEL THAT REPRESENT WITHIN THE SCENE IN THE MODERN DAY?
“You know I don\u2019t know where we fit in any scene and I don\u2019t think that any scene knows where we fit. I think that\u2019s just part of us. This is going to sound a little cocky but I\u2019m a singer in a band. I don\u2019t think we fit into any genre. I think we are hard to pin down. When we first started it was a little easier. We were a metallic hardcore band with singing parts. There wasn\u2019t any else like that when we were doing it. People get confused and say \u2018you\u2019re a metalcore band\u2019, but we invented metalcore. That may sound cocky but I don\u2019t care. We pre-date Poison The Well and Killswitch Engage and all those bands. I\u2019ve been doing this since I was literally 12 years old. So throughout that I still don\u2019t know where we fit, and I think our fans know that. This is the place to be you. This is our driving force and heartbeat. This is the place we go to express ourselves. I think our fan base and the people who like our band are like that too. They like music and we play music.”<\/em><\/p>\n
