The band will headline each date and A Day to Remember, Underoath and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/code-orange\/\" id=\"auto-tag_code-orange\" data-tag=\"code-orange\">Code Orange<\/a> will open. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe set a precedent last year \u2014 Knotfest is a showcase where you never know what to expect,\u201d Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor said in a statement. \u201cThis year is no exception. The bands we have represent all corners of our musical world, just like we do. And they\u2019re exciting as hell. I can\u2019t wait to watch and enjoy them along with the rest of the fans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The opening acts also released statements about the tour. A Day to Remember\u2019s Neil Westfall called Slipknot \u201ca band that has defined heavy music for an entire generation.\u201d Underoath\u2019s Chris Dudley said, \u201cWhen Slipknot asks you to come along for a summer of insanity, there are exactly zero questions to ask: You say yes.\u201d And Code Orange\u2019s Jami Morgan said, \u201cSlipknot is one of the bands that we have had at the top of our list to be able to open for and hopefully be exposed to their amazing, cultural crowd that\u2019s been around for a really long time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <!-- .l-article-content__pull--left --> <\/p>\n<p>Slipknot are still touring in support of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/slipknot-we-are-not-your-kind-review-867704\/\">We Are Not Your Kind<\/a><\/em>, an album that <em>Rolling Stone <\/em>dubbed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-metal-albums-2019-919140\/slipknot-we-are-not-your-kind-919132\/\">the top metal album of 2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview about the previous decade late last year, Taylor told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/corey-taylor-decade-recap-922205\/\">Rolling Stone<\/a> <\/em>he had some high hopes for how he wants to spend his time after Slipknot\u2019s touring winds down, including the possibility of a solo album.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m doing a solo run after we\u2019re done with Slipknot,\u201d he said. \u201cI have a bunch of songs; about 26 songs written now. I\u2019ve got a band put together with friends of mine, people who have been a part of my solo gigs for the past 10 years.
