Past recipients include Jay-Z (who received the award last year), Jesse Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Muhammad Ali, Soledad O\u2019Brien, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice and others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pwthg41c92st5-MsoNormal\">\u201cRihanna has not only enjoyed a groundbreaking career as an artist and musician, but has also distinguished herself as a stellar public servant,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cFrom her business achievements through Fenty, to her tremendous record as an activist and philanthropist, Rihanna epitomizes the type of character, grace, and devotion to justice that we seek to highlight in our President\u2019s Award.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rihanna is in the process of recording <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/2020-album-preview-drake-bieber-springsteen-adele-931360\/rihanna-55-933976\/\">her ninth album<\/a>, though between Fenty and her other business ventures, it\u2019s unclear exactly when it\u2019ll be finished. Her last album was 2016\u2019s <em>Anti<\/em>.
