French pop singer H\u00e9l\u00f6ise Letissier, released a new single called \u201cPeople, I\u2019ve Been Sad,\u201d accompanied by a sleek video.<\/p>\n<p>Shot at New York\u2019s Circles Studio \u2014 a suave, minimalistic space that features artists against saturated backgrounds \u2014 the clip features Letissier singing against a striking violet backdrop. \u201cIt\u2019s true that people I\u2019ve been sad,\u201d she sings into the microphone, wearing a powder blue silk suit and white glam-rock platform shoes. \u201cIt\u2019s true that people I\u2019ve been gone\/It\u2019s true\u2005that\u2005people I\u2019ve been\u2005missing out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She takes the second verse in French, as the synth-pop beat pulsates behind her vocals. \u201cYou know the feeling, you know the feeling,\u201d she repeats, dramatically moving her hands up and down with every line.<\/p>\n<p>Letissier released her second record, <em>Chris<\/em>, in 2018. She recently collaborated with Charli XCX on her song <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/charli-xcx-christine-queens-gone-video-860249\/\">\u201cGone,\u201d<\/a> which appeared on the pop star\u2019s 2019 LP <em>Charli.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love the idea of constantly altering yourself,\u201d she told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/christine-and-the-queens-chris-interview-726233\/\"><em>Rolling Stone<\/em> <\/a>of <em>Chris<\/em>. \u201cI saw the muscles surface. I was high on the thought of being altered. From record to record you see someone shedding skin.
