Pearl Jam<\/a> will play New York City for the first time in three years \u2014 at the Apollo Theater in Harlem March 26th. The event will be hosted by SiriusXM and Pandora<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The concert will air live on Pearl Jam\u2019s SiriusXM station, Pearl Jam Radio, while right after the station will broadcast the band\u2019s new album, Gigaton<\/i><\/a>, which arrives the day after the show, March 27th. Pandora will also mark the arrival of Gigaton<\/i> with a special Pearl Jam playlist, plus a \u201cPandora Story,\u201d in which the band will \u201cshare insights and stories\u201d about their new music and some of their classic songs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are incredibly humbled and honored to take the stage at the legendary Apollo Theater,\u201d said Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard. \u201cWe look forward to a memorable show to celebrate Gigaton<\/em> and the 10-year anniversary of Pearl Jam Radio at SiriusXM. It\u2019s hard to understate the sacred and historical importance of the Apollo to the history of American popular music and African Americans\u2019 preeminent role in its invention. We will play this special one time show with those artists in mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tickets for the Apollo Theater show will be available exclusively to SiriusXM and Pandora subscribers. SiriusXM subscribers will be able to win tickets through an on-air Pearl Jam Radio contest, or via e-mail if they\u2019ve approved email marketing from SiriusXM; there will also be a special travel contest<\/a> for all SiriusXM subscribers who have used the service since January 22nd. Select Pandora listeners will also be offered the opportunity to snag tickets based on their listening histories.<\/p>\n

Prior to their Apollo gig, Pearl Jam will kick off a North American tour<\/a> in support of Gigaton<\/i> March 18th at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The run will continue through the next month, wrapping with two nights at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California, April 18th and 19th.<\/p>\n

Pearl Jam is the latest artist to play a special SiriusXM show at the Apollo. Last year, the satellite radio giant hosted Lady Gaga<\/a>, while other performers include Paul McCartney<\/a>, Bruce Springsteen<\/a>, Metallica<\/a>, Pitbull, Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/a> and U2<\/a>.<\/p>\n
