{"id":803933,"date":"2020-02-07T04:01:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-07T11:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rocksound.tv\/news\/read\/chester-benningtons-pre-linkin-park-band-grey-daze-have-announced-their-new"},"modified":"2020-02-07T04:01:00","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T11:01:00","slug":"chester-benningtons-pre-linkin-park-band-grey-daze-have-announced-their-new-album","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/chester-benningtons-pre-linkin-park-band-grey-daze-have-announced-their-new-album\/","title":{"rendered":"Chester Bennington\u2019s Pre-Linkin Park Band Grey Daze Have Announced Their New Album"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"excerpt\" readability=\"7\">\n<p>They&#8217;ve also revealed a video for new song &#8216;Sickness&#8217;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt src=\"https:\/\/www.rocksound.tv\/assets\/uploads\/linkinpark_londonbrixtonacademy_corinnecumming04.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>It was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rocksound.tv\/news\/read\/chester-benningtons-first-band-grey-daze-is-releasing-a-new-album-with-his\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">revealed<\/a> at the&nbsp;end of last year&nbsp;by Chester Bennington&#8217;s widow Talinda Bennington that his first band&nbsp;<strong>Grey Daze<\/strong>&nbsp;were planning to release a new album, featuring Chester&#8217;s son and Chester himself on vocals.<\/p>\n<p>That album, &#8216;Amends&#8217;, has now been announced.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;ll be out April 10 via Loma Vista Recordings, and you can watch the video for new single &#8216;Sickness&#8217;, here:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen frameborder=\"0\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/if3ktXPXT9Y\" width=\"635\">[embedded content]<\/iframe>&nbsp;<br \/><em>&#8220;This is loosely based on a true story from when Chester was 15-years-old,&#8221; <\/em>explained&nbsp;rummer Sean Dowdell of the video concept.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;He was being bullied at school and one day suffered a real beating. That was the day I assumed a role as protector and almost older brother figure to Chester that has lasted since, even after his passing.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We started Grey Daze in 1993, the band ended up breaking up in 1998,&#8221;<\/em> he recalled in a recent documentary about the band&#8217;s story.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Fast forward to 2016, Chester\u2019s on the road and says, \u2018I think we should put Grey Daze back together&#8217;, Obviously, what happened, happened and Chester was tragically taken from us. Of course, as soon as he passed, it was like, &#8216;Oh my God, I lost my friend, my friend\u2019s wife is now a widow and my friend\u2019s kids are now fatherless&#8217;. There were all of these emotions.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;About six or seven months later, I started some conversations and said I really want to finish this album.
