{"id":803938,"date":"2020-02-07T07:01:18","date_gmt":"2020-02-07T14:01:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=949311"},"modified":"2020-02-07T07:01:18","modified_gmt":"2020-02-07T14:01:18","slug":"brian-eno-and-roger-eno-meld-soundscapes-with-landscapes-for-celeste-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/brian-eno-and-roger-eno-meld-soundscapes-with-landscapes-for-celeste-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Brian Eno and Roger Eno Meld Soundscapes With Landscapes for \u2018Celeste\u2019 Video"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/be.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Brian and Roger Eno present a journey through a strange but familiar landscape in the new visual for \u201cCeleste,\u201d the first offering from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/roger-brian-eno-album-mixing-colours-942321\/\">the brothers\u2019 first-ever collaborative album <em>Mixing Colours<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The video is the first in a series directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/brian-eno\/\" id=\"auto-tag_brian-eno\" data-tag=\"brian-eno\">Brian Eno<\/a> and software designer Peter Chilvers that \u201cmarries the simplicity and contemplative qualities of its soundscapes with suitably uncomplicated, mesmerizing imagery of slowly changing, dreamlike panoramas,\u201d Deutsche Grammophon said of the visuals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe more you listen to this, particularly with the fabulous worlds that Brian has created, you can really walk into this enormous landscape and stay,\u201d Roger Eno said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><em>Mixing Colours<\/em> is due out March 20th and available to <a href=\"https:\/\/store.deutschegrammophon.com\/p10-a157488\/roger-eno-amp-brian-eno\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">preorder<\/a> now. The ambient album\u2019s 18 songs take their titles from abstract and uncommon shades on the color palette; \u201cCeleste\u201d is the Spanish word for turquoise blue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Eno brothers previously worked together \u2014 along with Daniel Lanois \u2014 on 1983\u2019s <em>Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks<\/em> and <em>More Music for Films<\/em>.
