{"id":804024,"date":"2020-02-10T12:43:31","date_gmt":"2020-02-10T19:43:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=950366"},"modified":"2020-02-10T12:43:31","modified_gmt":"2020-02-10T19:43:31","slug":"girl-talk-announces-first-north-american-tour-in-eight-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/girl-talk-announces-first-north-american-tour-in-eight-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Girl Talk Announces First North American Tour in Eight Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/girl-talk-tour.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>Pittsburgh musician and DJ Gregg Gillis, a.k.a. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/girl-talk\/\">Girl Talk<\/a>, has announced his first North American tour in eight years.<\/p>\n<p>The mashup artist will kick off the route on April 29th in Cleveland, Ohio, and will play nearly 20 shows throughout the U.S. and Canada before wrapping June 7th with a set at New York\u2019s Governors Ball festival.<\/p>\n<p>Gillis hasn\u2019t performed on tour in the U.S. since concluding the run for his 2010 album,&nbsp;<em>All Day<\/em>. He rose to fame through his creative use of samples and dance-ready mashups on his first two albums, 2006\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Night Ripper<\/em> and 2008\u2019s <em>Feed the Animals<\/em>.
