The music journalist and author will be joined by <em>The Ringer<\/em>\u2018s executive editor, Chris Ryan. The first three episodes will drop on February 19.<\/p>\n<p>The duo will delve into their love of music, exploring how it makes people feel. They\u2019ll examine artists like Billie Eilish, Pavement, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Drake and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not a podcast where we tell you what to listen to or we necessarily comment on what\u2019s happening in the culture right now or what you should be listening to tomorrow before your friends do,\u201d the <em>Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs<\/em> author asserts in the trailer. \u201cThis is a podcast about thinking about music even when it\u2019s not playing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the trailer, they tackle the emotions music can elicit, \u201cParticularly if the music that makes you feel things about yourself is Steely Dan or Black Sabbath,\u201d Klosterman says. \u201cOr Radiohead!\u201d Ryan chimes in.<\/p>\n<p>Made in conjunction with <em>The Ringer<\/em>, the podcast will be released over the course of 12 weeks. The first three episodes are out now, covering the themes \u201cDo Opinions Matter?\u201d \u201cWhat\u2019s the Point of Live Music?\u201d and \u201cDoes Music Sound Like a Place?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Klosterman released the essay collection <em>Raised in Captivity: Fictional Nonfiction<\/em>, last year.
