Coldplay<\/a> soundtrack a couple\u2019s romance in the music video<\/a> for \u201cCry Cry Cry,\u201d a track from their latest album Everyday Life<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The clip was co-directed by actress Dakota Johnson (who is also frontman Chris Martin\u2019s partner) and Cory Bailey, with choreography by Celia Rowlson-Hall. Filmed at London\u2019s Rivoli Ballroom, \u201cCry Cry Cry\u201d follows a couple through the beginning stages of their relationship to their twilight years, dancing all along the way.<\/p>\n

Coldplay released Everyday Life<\/em><\/a>, their first double album, this past November, and have shared the singles \u201cOrphans,\u201d \u201cArabesque,\u201d<\/a> \u201cDaddy,\u201d \u201cChampion of the World\u201d<\/a> and \u201cEveryday Life.\u201d<\/a> They previously performed \u201cCry Cry Cry\u201d on The Ellen Degeneres Show<\/em>. Shortly after releasing Everyday Life<\/em>, the band announced that they have put a pause on touring the album until they can feasibly tour with zero carbon emissions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a Rolling Stone<\/em> interview<\/a> with Jann Wenner, Chris Martin described the newfound vulnerability that the band had to tap into in order to record Everyday Life:<\/em> \u201cBetween you and me and everyone who\u2019s watching, we had to grow a bit of balls to be able to do this one,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s the first time we really said what we think about some things. And it\u2019s trying to be empathetic and it\u2019s a bit unfiltered. It\u2019s completely unfiltered. It\u2019s very raw and pure.\u201d<\/p>\n
