Following five weeks of unreleased and rare David Bowie<\/a> tracks from the Earthling<\/em> era, the singer\u2019s \u201cThe Man Who Sold the World (Live Eno Mix)\u201d completes the six-track Is It Any Wonder?<\/em> EP.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Man Who Sold the World (Live Eno Mix)\u201d predates the EP\u2019s other offerings by two years, as the track \u2014 a darker trip-hop take on the famed 1970 song \u2014 was recorded in October 1995 and released as a single alongside Outside<\/em>\u2019s \u201cStrangers When We Meet.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI added some backing vocals and a sonar blip and sculpted the piece a little so that there was more contour to it,\u201d Brian Eno wrote of his remix in his journals. Bowie also performed this version live as part of his Outside Tour.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Is It Any Wonder?<\/i> weekly installment also featured Earthling<\/i>-via-Tin Machine castoffs \u201cI Can\u2019t Read \u201997<\/span><\/a>\u201d and \u201cBaby Universal<\/span><\/a>,\u201d the unreleased instrumental \u201cNuts<\/a>\u201d as well as Earthling<\/i>-era re-recordings of \u201cStay<\/span><\/a>\u201d and \u201cThe Man Who Sold the World<\/span><\/a>,\u201d the latter originally appearing on ChangesNowBowie<\/em> comp.<\/span><\/p>\n

As ChangesNowBowie<\/em> is receiving its own Record Store Day reissue, the physical and digital versions of Is It Any Wonder?<\/em> instead feature \u201cFun (Clownboy Mix),\u201d a radically retooled version of \u201cFame\u201d that Bowie performed on his Earthling<\/em> tour.<\/span><\/p>\n

Physical copies of the Is It Any Wonder?<\/em> EP are available to preorder<\/a> now on Bowie\u2019s site ahead of its March 20th release. The EP is also on streaming services now.<\/span><\/p>\n
