For a special Valentine\u2019s Day morning show, Harry Styles<\/a> and his band covered Joni Mitchell\u2019s<\/a> \u201cBig Yellow Taxi\u201d in the BBC<\/a> Radio 2 Breakfast studio.<\/p>\n

Styles performed a faithful rendition of Mitchell\u2019s classic environmental anthem, right down to the \u201cooh-bap-bap-bap\u201d backup singers and the California singer\u2019s hearty laughter at the end of the song.<\/p>\n

In Styles\u2019 Rolling Stone<\/em> cover story<\/a> this past August, he described Mitchell as one of his two favorite musicians along with Van Morrison<\/a>, going so far as to go on a \u201cquest\u201d after hearing her quintessential album Blue<\/em>. \u201cI was in a big Joni hole,\u201d he says. \u201cI kept hearing the dulcimer all over Blue<\/i>. So I tracked down the lady who built Joni\u2019s dulcimers in the Sixties.\u201d<\/p>\n

This week Styles appeared on a segment<\/a> of The Late Late Show<\/em>, salsa dancing with host James Corden\u2019s parents in Miami during the Super Bowl. Styles was originally scheduled to perform in Miami that weekend in conjunction with the game, but his set was canceled<\/a> due to severe thunderstorms. He did get to perform<\/a> with Lizzo<\/a> during her set at Pandora and SiriusXM\u2019s show, dueting on her song \u201cJuice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Styles released his latest album, Fine Line<\/em>, this past December, including the singles \u201cFine Line,\u201d \u201cWatermelon Sugar\u201d and \u201cAdore You.\u201d<\/p>\n
