Stephen Malkmus<\/a> has dropped a new song, \u201cBrainwashed,\u201d the second single from his upcoming LP Traditional Techniques<\/i><\/a>, out March 6th on Matador. The singer also announced more North American tour dates.<\/p>\n

Made by the French production company La Blogoth\u00e8que and directed by Thibaut Charlut, the clip above features Malkmus playing an intimate \u201cBrainwashed\u201d on acoustic guitar at La Fontaine de Belleville in Paris. \u201cBrainwash me, brainwash me\/please take these old thoughts away,\u201d he sings, while the crowd sips cappuccinos behind him.<\/p>\n

Malkmus will embark on the second North American leg on June 26th, kicking off at the Imperial in Vancouver. He\u2019ll make stops along the West Coast, stopping in Dallas on July 7th before wrapping up in Denver on July 11th.<\/p>\n

In between the previously announced dates and the new leg, Pavement<\/a> will reunite<\/a> at the 2020 Primavera Sound Festivals. They\u2019ll perform a pair of concerts in Barcelona, Spain and Porto, Portugal \u2014 making it their first shows in 10 years.<\/p>\n

Traditional Techniques<\/em> is Malkmus\u2019 third solo album. He recently dropped the record\u2019s lead single, \u201cXian Man.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

General tickets go on sale Friday, February 21st at 10 a.m. local time.<\/p>\n
