Last week, Billie Eilish<\/a> brought her goth sensibilities to the brooding new James Bond<\/a> theme, \u201cNo Time to Die.\u201d<\/a> Rounding out her recent<\/a> torch song<\/a> performances at award shows, Eilish appeared at the Brit Awards<\/a> on Tuesday to perform the theme alongside her co-writer and brother Finneas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The duo \u2014 Eilish on vocals and Finneas on piano \u2014 were accompanied by a guitarist, keyboardist, drummer and an entire string section. \u201cFool me once, fool me twice\/Are you death or paradise?\/Now you\u2019ll never see me cry\/There\u2019s just no time to die,\u201d Eilish sang, climbing into her upper register. Members of the Brit Awards audience occasionally shouted \u201cI love you!\u201d at her throughout the performance and the entire crowd cheered when she belted out the theme\u2019s dramatic bridge.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the performance, Billie and Finneas stopped by BBC Breakfast<\/em><\/a> to discuss the writing process for \u201cNo Time to Die.\u201d The theme was penned and recorded while they were on tour in Texas following \u201can intense period of writers\u2019 block,\u201d according to Billie.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did certain songs on the album [When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?<\/em>] in hotel rooms,\u201d Finneas noted. \u201cYou know, that\u2019s kind of always been our philosophy: not letting the place that we are get in the way of making great music.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember at the beginning of last year we kind of told our whole team, \u2018Hey, if any Bond<\/em> things come up, we want to be involved if we can possibly be,’\u201d Eilish recalled. \u201c\u2018Whatever we have to do, we will do.’\u201d<\/p>\n

No Time to Die<\/em> will be the fifth and final James Bond film starring Daniel Craig as Agent 007. Following its premiere in London on March 31st, the movie will open in the United States on April 10th.<\/p>\n
