Executive produced by BMG and Wendy Dio, the film is the first-ever career-spanning documentary on the artist. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/metal-icon-ronnie-james-dio-dead-at-67-after-cancer-battle-94545\/\">Dio died<\/a> from stomach cancer in 2010 at the age of 67.<\/p>\n<p>Authorized by the artist\u2019s estate, the feature-length documentary is currently in production. Helmed by Don Argott and Demian Fenton, the film will include previously unseen archival footage and photos from the singer\u2019s archives and will feature scenes with friends and family, who will provide insight into his life and career. According to a statement, the documentary is \u201cset against the backdrop of Dio\u2019s unfinished autobiography \u2014 half-finished by Ronnie before his untimely death from stomach cancer in 2010 \u2014 the film will chronicle the inspiring journey of his life, love, and storied career.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very excited to be working with BMG on Ronnie\u2019s long-awaited documentary,\u201d Wendy Dio, Ronnie\u2019s manager who was also married to the singer, said in a statement. \u201cRonnie loved his fans and I hope they will enjoy this trip through Ronnie\u2019s life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On March 20th, BMG will reissue Dio\u2019s 1996-2004 studio albums, including <em>Angry Machines<\/em>, <em>Magica<\/em>, <em>Killing the Dragon<\/em> and <em>Master of the Moon<\/em>. The newly remastered collection has long been out of print on CD and never previously released on vinyl in North America.
