On Wednesday, A-Basin Chief Operating Officer Alan <a href=\"http:\/\/arapahoebasin.blogspot.com\/2020\/02\/four-lanes-of-grooming-in-zuma.html\">Henceroth wrote in his blog<\/a> that four runs in Montezuma Bowl, which is on the backside of the basin, were groomed Tuesday night.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cat drivers (operators) had a big, big night in Montezuma Bowl,\u201d Henceroth wrote. \u201cThe winch cat was going to town.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The four runs that are freshly groomed are Long Chute, which is in the MGD zone; Larkspur and Columbine, which are part of the Montezuma Blue Bowls; and Northern Spy, which is part of East Zuma.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday afternoon, A-Basin also announced that hiking on East Wall is officially open. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/arapahoe-basin-ski-area-crews-working-to-keep-east-wall-open-as-conditions-permit\/\">The area was opened off and on over the weekend<\/a>, but this is the first time opening of the wall has been \u201cofficial.\u201d However, A-Basin noted on Twitter that the wall is still subject to close at any time pending conditions.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/arapahoe-basin-ski-area-grooms-runs-in-montezuma-bowl-officially-opens-east-wall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Summit Daily<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ARAPAHOE BASIN SKI AREA \u2014 Arapahoe Basin Ski Area reported 3 inches of fresh snow Tuesday.
