A previously unissued David Bowie<\/a> live album highlighting the singer\u2019s mid-Seventies work <\/em>is set for Record Store Day.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m Only Dancing (The Soul Tour 74)<\/em>, featuring segments of a pair of concerts from that trek, bridges the gap between 1974\u2019s Diamond Dogs<\/em> and 1975\u2019s Young Americans.<\/em> Bowie\u2019s site announced<\/a> the release Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previous Bowie live albums from the 1974 tour \u2014 1974\u2019s David Live<\/em> and the 2017 reissue Cracked Actor (Live Los Angeles \u201974)<\/em> \u2014 were recorded prior to the I\u2019m Only Dancing<\/em> concerts, which featured a more soul music focus as well as the Mick Garson Band backing Bowie.<\/span><\/p>\n

The bulk of I\u2019m Only Dancing<\/em> is taken from an October 20th, 1974 gig at Detroit\u2019s Michigan Palace, with three tracks from a Nashville concert on November 30th, 1974. The live album will available as both 2 CDs and 2 LPs on Record Store Day, April 18th. The LP\u2019s artwork mirrors the original design for the programs from the two gigs.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to I\u2019m Only Dancing (The Soul Tour 74)<\/em>, Record Store Day will also include a reissue of the ChangesNowBowie<\/em> compilation.<\/span><\/p>\n
