Following her performance at Bernie Sanders\u2019<\/a> campaign rally in Houston Sunday, Soccer Mommy<\/a> has released the third and final single from her album Color Theory<\/em><\/a>, out this Friday via Loma Vista.<\/p>\n

The track, \u201cBloodstream,\u201d is the album opener, and a meditation on childhood loneliness and chasing down happiness. \u201cHydrangeas blooming of the branches of park trees\/It\u2019s a half-hearted calm \u2014 the way I\u2019ve felt since I was 13,\u201d Sophie Allison sings over a churning guitar that wouldn\u2019t be out of place in a Nineties teen comedy. \u201c\u2018Cause I may not feel it now, covered up the wounds with my long sleeves\/But I know it\u2019s waiting there swimming through my bloodstream.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the lyric video, Allison appears as a pixelated version of herself in a Minecraft<\/em>-like world, pining the days away in her childhood bedroom and surrounded by clones of the same yellow dog.<\/p>\n

Soccer Mommy<\/a> will make her late-night debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em> this Wednesday, performing a cut from the new album. She previously released the album tracks \u201cLucy,\u201d<\/a> \u201cYellow Is the Color of Her Eyes\u201d<\/a> and \u201cCircle the Drain,\u201d<\/a> as well as the song \u201cFeed,\u201d<\/a> which was featured on the indie-studded soundtrack for the horror movie The Turning<\/em>. She\u2019ll kick off her North American tour of Color Theory<\/em> in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 26th.<\/p>\n
