Voting is open through March 7 at <a href=\"http:\/\/summitdaily.com\/peakperformers\">SummitDaily.com\/peakperformers<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nominee<\/strong>: Kyle Mack<br \/><strong>Sport<\/strong>: snowboarding<\/p>\n<p>The stylish young rider is known for his passion for street snowboarding and his soaring success on slopestyle and big air courses.<\/p>\n<p>At the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, Mack etched his name into Olympic history by landing his trademark \u201cBloody Dracula\u201d grab on a massive flat-spin 1440, earning him a silver medal at the inaugural big air competition at an Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>Despite still being in his early 20s, Mack \u2014 who hails from West Bloomfield, Michigan \u2014 has been known as one of snowboarding\u2019s most inventive riders in terms of pushing style off big jumps and in the streets for years.<\/p>\n<p>Along with progressing the level of trick he can execute, Mack has worked to dial in tricks like a frontside triple rodeo flip dubbed a \u201ctodeo\u201d on big park jumps.<\/p>\n<p>In the streets, Mack showcased his riding in the new film \u201cPer Mission,\u201d which featured many of the same Mayhem friends who Mack dials in his tricks with at the backyard rail park of his close friends Malachi and Red Gerard.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/peak-performers-nominee-kyle-mack-snowboarding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Summit Daily<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kyle Mack wears a space helmet and drapes himself in the American flag to celebrate his silver medal in big air at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.AP File Editor\u2019s note: Readers nominated their all-time favorite Summit County athletes for Peak Performers: The Mount Rushmore of Summit County athletes.
