Even though Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> released his 12th album, Ordinary Man<\/a><\/em>, just a few days ago, he says there\u2019s no rest for the wicked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am making another album because while I can\u2019t tour, I can make music,\u201d the Prince of Darkness said in a Reddit AMA<\/a> session. \u201cWhat I learned from Ordinary Man<\/em>, it got the juices flowing again. People say they write the best songs when they\u2019re unhappy, and I was unhappy last year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Osbourne had to cancel all of his 2019 tour dates after a series of health setbacks forced him off the road. In late 2018, he contracted a potentially fatal staph infection<\/a> and he suffered a serious fall<\/a> in the middle of the night in early 2019 that was so bad he required months of painful surgery. \u201cI was in agony beyond anything I ever experienced before in my life,\u201d he told Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em>. \u201cIt was awful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Recently, he revealed that he had also been diagnosed with Parkinson\u2019s disease<\/a>. In the middle of all of this, he was invited to record a guest appearance on Post Malone\u2019s \u201cTake What You Want\u201d and found the experience so invigorating that he recruited the song\u2019s producer, Andrew Watt, to helm the writing and recording sessions that yielded Ordinary Man<\/em>. The record features contributions from Elton John and Post Malone, as well as members of Guns N\u2019 Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against the Machine.<\/p>\n

The former Black Sabbath frontman<\/a> first revealed his plan to cut an immediate follow-up LP in an interview with iHeart Radio. \u201cI\u2019m hoping that next month I\u2019ll go and do another album with Andrew [Watt],\u201d he said, according to Metal Hammer<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI might as well, while I\u2019m not doing gigs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The vocalist recently canceled the upcoming North American leg<\/a> of his No More Tours 2 trek so he could receive treatment from a specialist in Switzerland. He nevertheless will be making an appearance at South by Southwest<\/a>, where a new documentary<\/a> about him is getting its premiere. In the Reddit AMA, he said his travel plans also include a visit to Panama. \u201cDunno when I\u2019m coming back!\u201d he joked. \u201cBeen going nuts sitting on my ass all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n
