Mick Fleetwood<\/a> honored Fleetwood Mac<\/a> co-founder Peter Green<\/a> with a star-studded concert at London Palladium on Tuesday, which benefited Teenage Cancer Trust. The show included appearances by David Gilmour<\/a>, Steven Tyler<\/a>, Neil Finn<\/a>, Pete Townshend<\/a>, Billy Gibbons<\/a>, Christine McVie<\/a>, Bill Wyman<\/a>, Kirk Hammett<\/a>, and Noel Gallagher<\/a> among other luminaries.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe concert is a celebration of those early blues days where we all began, and it\u2019s important to recognize the profound impact Peter and the early Fleetwood Mac had on the world of music,\u201d Fleetwood said in a statement. \u201cPeter was my greatest mentor and it gives me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent. I am honored to be sharing the stage with some of the many artists Peter has inspired over the years and who share my great respect for this remarkable musician.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fan footage from the event featured Neil Finn performing \u201cMan of the World,\u201d Steven Tyler and Billy Gibbons teaming for \u201cOh Well,\u201d Gilmour performing during \u201cOh Well (Part 2)\u201d and \u201cAlbatross,\u201d and an all-star rendition of \u201cShake Your Money Maker\u201d closed the night.<\/p>\n

Prior to their \u201cAlbatross\u201d performance, Fleetwood shared a story about trying to stay awake while on the road back from a gig and he heard the Beatles being interviewed on the radio after Abbey Road<\/em> came out. \u201cThis is where we do our \u2018Albatross\u2019 thing, like Fleetwood Mac,\u201d one of them said, according to Fleetwood. \u201cAnd that woke the hell out of me [and the rest of the band] \u2026 So, our minds were truly blown \u2026 To know that this floating, lovely song had inspired just a little bit of something so precious as the band who was talking on the radio,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd this next beautiful song, \u2018Albatross,\u2019 written by Peter, I would like to dedicate not only to Peter Green but to George Harrison, it happens to be his birthday today.\u201d See clips from the event below.<\/p>\n
