But way more exciting, the cover she chose is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/chris-isaak\/\">Chris Isaak\u2019s<\/a> \u201cWicked Game,\u201d and Isaak himself hopped on the track to perform backing vocals for the Canadian singer.<\/p>\n<p>Recorded at New York\u2019s Electric Lady Studios, Dion\u2019s \u201cWicked Game\u201d captures the spirit of Isaak\u2019s original sensual track with a little Celine flourish. Her intonations on the first verse are a bit freestyle, but she then proceeds to give one of the more subtle \u2014 and beautiful \u2014 vocal performances of her career. It\u2019s the Goldilocks amount of Celine energy: not too little, not too much.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pur0qmx57wt8l-\" readability=\"9.5964691046658\"><span class=\"pwjh30sanoftm-\">\u201c<\/span><span class=\"p5jseufl3dxno-\">I chose \u2018<\/span><span class=\"prnwldwnidbjq-\">Wicked Game\u2019<\/span><span class=\"pkllty1buga5l-\">&nbsp;for my Spotify Singles because it\u2019s one of my favorite songs of all time for many, many, many reasons,\u201d Dion said. \u201c<\/span><span class=\"ptx3461hafwow-\">But also I love the black and white music video for the song, of Chris Isaak<\/span><span class=\"pdsvdu4gaapjo-\">&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"pwjuy9xkauulr-\">and Helena Christensen on the beach<\/span><span class=\"p2eh47bflq7db-\">\u2026<\/span><span class=\"p2eh47bflq7db-\" readability=\"9.3904761904762\">I wanted to respect the original version, which I still think is perfection.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Isaak wrote: \u201cAt last! When I heard Celine singing there was a big smile on my face. It\u2019s just fun to hear her sing\u2026somebody said about Fred Astaire\u2018s dancing \u2018he makes it look so easy\u2019\u2026 Celine makes it sound so effortless.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dion is currently on tour for&nbsp;<em>Courage <\/em>through April 27th.
