On his new song \u201cShimmy,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/amine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amin\u00e9<\/a> is determined to shed light on Portland, Oregon, a city that\u2019s known for tracks &amp; field, Nike, that show <em>Portlandia<\/em>, and at time being \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/business\/archive\/2016\/07\/racist-history-portland\/492035\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">The Whitest City In America<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the song, Amin\u00e9 interpolates and samples Old Dirty Bastard\u2019s 1995 hit \u201cShimmy Shimmy Ya,\u201d while partaking in a variety of very Oregon activities. He rock climbs, drives through the wilderness, rides through the street on orange Nike bikes, and wears a lot of sportswear. In essence, the \u201cShimmy\u201d visual is striving to do for Portland what Drake\u2019s \u201cHeadlines\u201d video did for Toronto.
