Lady Gaga<\/a> is back with brand new music \u2014 her first single since her acting turn in A Star Is Born<\/em><\/a> and its mega-hit anthem \u201cShallow,\u201d and her first non-theatrical music since her 2016 album, Joanne<\/em>. In the fantastical new video for \u201cStupid Love,\u201d Lady Gaga battles warring factions to establish a more compassionate world order. \u201cAll I ever wanted was love,\u201d she sings.<\/p>\n

The song opens with strings, but it quickly turns into a dance jam. Lady Gaga and her posse show up as the voice of reason as several groups fight and \u201cfreak out\u201d as the refrain repeats. But in the end, the chorus wins out: \u201cI want your stupid love,\u201d she sings as everyone dances.<\/p>\n

\u201cStupid Love\u201d is the lead single from Gaga\u2019s yet-to-be-announced sixth album<\/a>. In 2019, her role in A Star Is Born<\/em> earned her a best actress nod and an Oscar for Best Original Song for penning \u201cShallow.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Outside of music, the pop star is set to star in Ridley Scott\u2019s upcoming film<\/a> about fashion house icon Guccio Gucci and the murder of his grandson and heir Maurizio; Gaga will portray Maurizio\u2019s wife Patricia Reggiani. She also debuted a new makeup line, Haus Laboratories<\/a>, for Amazon\u2019s Prime Day sale.<\/p>\n
