{"id":804728,"date":"2020-02-28T11:00:02","date_gmt":"2020-02-28T18:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=959668"},"modified":"2020-02-28T11:00:02","modified_gmt":"2020-02-28T18:00:02","slug":"100-gecs-plot-north-american-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/100-gecs-plot-north-american-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"100 Gecs Plot North American Tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/100gecs.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/100-gecs\/\" id=\"auto-tag_100-gecs\" data-tag=\"100-gecs\">100 Gecs<\/a> will embark on a headlining world tour this year, with a North American leg scheduled to launch in the spring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The band\u2019s first show is scheduled for March 20th at Buku in New Orleans, but the tour will really get underway after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/rage-against-the-machine-travis-scott-frank-ocean-coachella-2020-headliners-lineup-933201\/\">sets at Coachella<\/a>, April 11th and 18th. From there, 100 Gecs head to Toronto for an April 21st show at Velvet Underground, and will spend the next month crisscrossing North America before wrapping May 23rd at Fortune Sound Club in Vancouver. A European tour will follow in June.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Tickets will go on sale on March 6th, although an artist presale will launch March 3rd via Seated. Additional information is available on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.100gecs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">100 Gecs\u2019 website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">100 Gecs released their debut album, <i>1000 Gecs<\/i><em>,<\/em> last May, and the LP ultimately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-albums-2019-914750\/100-gecs-1000-gecs-916987\/\">landed at Number 19<\/a> on <i>Rolling Stone<\/i><em>\u2018<\/em>s 50 Best Albums of 2019. The band recently shared a new remix of the album cut \u201cRingtone,\u201d featuring Charli XCX, Rico Nasty, and Kero Kero Bonito. That track will appear on the band\u2019s upcoming remix album, <i>1000 Gecs &amp; the Tree of Clues<\/i><em>,<\/em> which will include a mix of official remixes and crowd-sourced reworkings that fans submitted after 100 Gecs made the stems from <i>1000 Gecs<\/i> available online.
