He turned it into a duet with labelmate Fletcher.<\/p>\n<p>Horan kicks off the song with a faithful rendition of the original folky track. As soon as Fletcher\u2019s verse kicks in, however, the song overflows with electric guitar and big, open drums. The track picks up from there, continuing to grow bigger as their voices join together \u2014 soon it becomes an arena rock anthem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlways love being asked to get involved in the Spotify Singles sessions. It\u2019s nice to get out of the comfort zone and try something different,\u201d Horan wrote in a statement. \u201cWhen it came to deciding what song I was going to do, there was only one option for me.&nbsp; \u2018Lover\u2019 is one of my favorite songs I\u2019ve heard in a long time and Taylor is a good friend.&nbsp; Let\u2019s hope she likes it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Horan also recorded a new version of his single \u201cNo Judgement,\u201d which appears on his upcoming sophomore album&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/niall-horan-heartbreak-weather-track-list-video-955928\/\"><em>Heartbreak Weather<\/em><\/a>. Both tracks were recorded at London\u2019s Air Studios.<\/p>\n<p>Horan\u2019s new album will be released on March 13th.
