David Bowie<\/a>, Britney Spears<\/a> and Roger Rogers are among the list of artists tapped for Record Store Day<\/a> 2020 releases<\/a>. The annual event, which celebrates independent, local record stores, will be held on April 18th around the world.<\/p>\n

Per Record Store Day\u2019s tradition, David Bowie releases will be included. This year will see the release of I\u2019m Only Dancing (The Soul Tour 74)<\/em> as a double album and Changesnowbowie<\/em>, which aired on the BBC in 1997 for the late singer\u2019s 50th birthday.<\/p>\n

Several live recordings are also coming out, including Billie Eilish<\/a>\u2019s recent set at Third Man Records<\/a> in Nashville. Pink Floyd<\/a>\u2019s Roger Waters<\/a> will release a triple LP titled The Wall \u2014 Live in Berlin<\/em>, while drummer Nick Mason will release a live 12-inch single from Nick Mason\u2019s Saucerful of Secrets<\/em>. A 7-inch single of \u201cArnold Layne\u201d that Mason, David Gilmour and Richard Wright performed at the 2007 Syd Barrett Tribute Concert will also be released.<\/p>\n

Many releases are pegged to anniversaries. Britney Spears will honor the 20th anniversary of Oops!\u2026I Did It Again<\/em> with a reissue that includes remixes and B-sides. Paul McCartney will reissue his self-titled solo debut in honor of its 50th anniversary, pressed at half speed using the original master tapes at Abbey Road Studios.<\/p>\n

Lou Reed and John Cale\u2019s Songs for Drella<\/em>, their tribute to Andy Warhol, will be honored for its 30th anniversary. U2 will release \u201c11 O\u2019Clock Tick Tock\u201d for its 40th anniversary. The band\u2019s first single on Island Records, the B-side will feature \u201cTouch\u201d and two unreleased live recordings from a September 1980 show at the Marquee in London: \u201cTouch\u201d and \u201cTwilight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eminem\u2019s \u201cMy Name Is\u201d\/\u201dBad Guys Always Die\u201d will be issued as a single. Grouplove will release a \u201cBroken Angel\u201d picture disc as a tribute to Mac Miller. Post Malone\u2019s Hollywood\u2019s Bleeding<\/em> will get its vinyl<\/a> debut, as well as Tyler, The Creator\u2019s Cherry Bomb (and Cherry Bomb The Instrumentals). <\/em><\/p>\n

Omnivore Recordings will release Heritage II: Demos\/Alternate Takes 1971-1976<\/em>, a follow-up to a collection released in 2017. Judd Apatow will celebrate late songwriter Warren Zevon<\/a> with Warren Zevon\u2019s Greatest Hits (According To Judd Apatow)<\/em>, consisting of Apatow\u2019s favorite Zevon tracks.<\/p>\n

Many classic bands will release live sets from the Seventies, including the Grateful Dead\u2019s five LP set of Buffalo 5\/9\/77<\/em> and the complete live set of Allman Brothers Band titled Fillmore West 1-31-71<\/em>, on vinyl for the first time.<\/p>\n

North Carolina Nineties band Archers of Loaf will release \u201cRaleigh Days,\u201d their first new song in 22 years<\/a>, as a single. The B-side will be a cover of the Rolling Stones\u2019 \u201cStreet Fighting Man.\u201d After dropping Here Comes the Cowboy Demos <\/em>on April 17th, <\/strong>Mac DeMarco will drop Other Here Comes the Cowboy Demos <\/em>as an RSD exclusive.<\/p>\n

Brandi Carlile<\/a>, this year\u2019s ambassador<\/a>, will drop a 12-inch titled A Rooster Says<\/em>, paying tribute to fellow Seattle band Soundgarden. Previous ambassadors include Pearl Jam, St. Vincent, Jack White, Dave Grohl and others before her. \u201cWhat independent record stores do is that they mine, archive, love, meticulously care for, and make available to you other people\u2019s dreams,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
