Started by Daptone\u2019s co-founder Bosco Mann \u2014 who recently built a new studio in his hometown of Riverside, California \u2014 the imprint dropped&nbsp;an inaugural EP titled <em>Presenting Penrose Records.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The five-track EP consists of Thee Sacred Souls, Jason Joshua, Thee Sinseers, Los Yesterdays and Los Angeles band the Altons, who released a video for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-0RqfvE6_eg&amp;feature=youtu.be\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cWhen You Go (That\u2019s When You\u2019ll Know).\u201d<\/a> Listen to the EP below; the 45rpm singles are available for <a href=\"https:\/\/shopdaptonerecords.com\/collections\/penrose\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">preorder.&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Penrose artists will perform showcase shows in California this spring, kicking off at the Paramount in Los Angeles. They\u2019ll stop in San Diego on March 29th before ending in the Bay Area, concluding at Eli\u2019s Mile High Club in Oakland on April 5th.<\/p>\n<p>Daptone recently released a posthumous rendition of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/charles-bradley-sharon-jones-posthumous-daptone-song-hey-brother-847417\/\">\u201cHey Brother (Do Unto Others),\u201d<\/a> by the late <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/sharon-jones\/\" id=\"auto-tag_sharon-jones\" data-tag=\"sharon-jones\">Sharon Jones<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/charles-bradley\/\" id=\"auto-tag_charles-bradley\" data-tag=\"charles-bradley\">Charles Bradley<\/a> and others, in honor of the label\u2019s 100th 45rpm single.
