Sufjan Stevens<\/a> and his stepfather Lowell Brams have released another teaser track from their upcoming instrumental album Aporia<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The LP was inspired by Enya and other new-age music, and you can definitely hear it on this newest song, \u201cClimb That Mountain,\u201d a peaceful three-minute tune that could soundtrack a steady climb up a hillside.<\/p>\n

Aporia<\/em> is due out on March 27th via Stevens\u2019 label Asthmatic Kitty. The duo previously shared the track \u201cThe Runaround\u201d<\/a> along with a music video featuring the Bike Life riders. Stevens and Brams previously collaborated on the 2008 instrumental LP Music for Insomnia<\/em> as part of Asthmatic Kitty\u2019s now retired Library Catalogued Music Series.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYou know how it is with jamming,\u201d Stevens said of the Aporia<\/em> sessions, \u201cNinety percent of it is absolutely horrible, but if you\u2019re just lucky enough, 10 percent is magic. I just kept pulling out these little magical moments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, Stevens released two new songs<\/a> for Pride Month, \u201cLove Yourself\u201d<\/a> and \u201cWith My Whole Heart.\u201d In 2017, he released the song \u201cTonya Harding,\u201d<\/a> and collaborated with Nico Muhly, James McAlister and the National\u2019s Bryce Dessner on the album Planetarium<\/em>. He also penned the score to Justin Peck\u2019s 2017 ballet The Decalogue<\/em>, which was later recorded by Timo Anders on the piano and released as an album by the same name in 2019.<\/p>\n
