Certifies Grouplove as Climate Positive"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-12-at-9.19.44-PM.png\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/grouplove\/\" id=\"auto-tag_grouplove\" data-tag=\"grouplove\">Grouplove<\/a> have become the first band in the U.S. to be certified climate positive by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/united-nations\/\" id=\"auto-tag_united-nations\" data-tag=\"united-nations\">United Nations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Los Angeles indie-pop group achieved this by partnering with <a href=\"https:\/\/chooose.today\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Chooose<\/a>, a company that offers subscriptions to reduce CO2, for their upcoming tour. The shows are in support of their new LP, <em>Healer<\/em>, out Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Tour has been postponed in light of the spread of COVID-19, but when they do hit the road, the band has pledged to stay in sustainable hotels, drink from reusable bottles, implement vegetarian meals on their rider, use in-house electricity, wear second-hand clothing and book the shortest possible distance between hotels and venues in order to reduce carbon footprint.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnlike our president, we trust in science and want to lower our carbon footprint,\u201d frontwoman Hannah Hooper tells <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cWe found Chooose to help us do this. We hope you are doing your part in taking care of our beautiful planet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following 2016\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/review-grouplove-still-ambitious-mostly-innocuous-on-big-mess-112945\/\">Big Mess<\/a><\/em>, <em>Healer<\/em> is the first LP the band has made without drummer-producer Ryan Rabin.
