My Morning Jacket frontman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/jim-james\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jim-james\" data-tag=\"jim-james\">Jim James<\/a> and the Free Nationals are scheduled to perform during the online-only event, becoming the latest musicians to perform in support of the candidate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are so many of us that just want to find common ground with all living beings so that we can move forward together as a world to live in peace, good health, and equality,\u201d James said in a statement. \u201cBernie speaks and lives the truth and has worked his entire life fighting for truth and justice \u2013 bringing people together for the common good and that is why I believe he can help unite us now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis progressive positions on universal healthcare, immigration and education make him the clear choice for us in the primaries,\u201d added Kelsey Gonzalez of the Free Nationals. \u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to supporting him tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event, dubbed the Bernie 2020 Digital Rally, will take place Tuesday, March 17th at 7 p.m. EST via Sanders\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/live.berniesanders.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Young <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/neil-young-bernie-sanders-endorsement-964573\/\">officially endorsed<\/a> Sanders for president. \u201cI support Bernie because I listen to what he says,\u201d the musician wrote on his website. \u201cEvery point he makes is what I believe in. Every one. In 2016, if Bernie had run instead of Hillary Clinton, I think we would not have the incompetent mess we have now.\u201d He added, \u201cI believe Bernie Sanders.
