The broadcast is the first installment of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalcitizen.org\/en\/campaign\/stand-together-to-beat-coronavirus\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Together, at Home<\/a>,&nbsp;in which artists perform virtually on the platform in the wake of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/coronavirus\/\" id=\"auto-tag_coronavirus\" data-tag=\"coronavirus\">coronavirus<\/a> outbreak.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe 9\/11 was the last time I felt like we were all together,\u201d Martin said of the pandemic, sitting at a piano and intently reading users\u2019 comments. He took requests from fans, including Coldplay\u2019s 2000 hit \u201cYellow\u201d and a cover of David Bowie\u2019s \u201cLife on Mars,\u201d stopping at the chorus because it was too early for his voice to reach that octave.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like I\u2019m on <em>Celebrity Big Brother<\/em>,\u201d he added, laughing that his every move was visible to nearly 50 thousand people. \u201cI was never asked to go on one of those things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Together, at Home is a collaboration between the World Health Organization (WHO) and Global Citizen.
