And so quietly I would listen, but outwardly I would act like I wasn\u2019t a fan. Then, later in life when I was writing my own music in my Twenties, and my mom and I reconnected as adults, we realized that we still had a shared love of Lucinda Williams. And I had never been so moved before because it was something I felt like we finally shared.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <!-- .l-article-content__pull--left --> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI picked this song \u2018If My Love Could Kill\u2019 because it was a song about [Williams\u2019] dad, who suffered from Alzheimer\u2019s, and her frustration with it, as well as her love for him and the wanting to understand it,\u201d she added. \u201cIt was a combination of love and anger and frustration. And it\u2019s also just a really beautiful song \u2026 It will forever be the soundtrack of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 10-track <em>Music Moments<\/em> also features Sting\u2019s previously released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/sting-otis-redding-dock-of-the-bay-966594\/\">cover<\/a> of Otis Redding\u2019s \u201c(Sittin\u2019 On) The Dock of the Bay,\u201d along with recordings from Band of Horses, Joan Jett, Jason Isbell, Anthony Hamilton, Lee Ann Womack, the Head and the Heart, Nile Rodgers and Brett Eldredge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe&nbsp;<em>Music Moments<\/em>&nbsp;album, and the stories behind the songs, set the stage for sharing experiences and fueling important conversations,\u201d Michael Carson, chief marketing officer of the Alzheimer\u2019s Association, said in a statement. \u201cUltimately, these conversations are critical to reducing stigma about Alzheimer\u2019s and all other dementia.
