{"id":805434,"date":"2020-03-19T05:35:35","date_gmt":"2020-03-19T11:35:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=969540"},"modified":"2020-03-19T05:35:35","modified_gmt":"2020-03-19T11:35:35","slug":"watch-charlie-puth-perform-together-at-home-live-concert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/ksmt\/music-news\/watch-charlie-puth-perform-together-at-home-live-concert\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch Charlie Puth Perform \u2018Together at Home\u2019 Live Concert"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/shutterstock_editorial_10549327cs.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/charlie-puth\/\" id=\"auto-tag_charlie-puth\" data-tag=\"charlie-puth\">Charlie Puth<\/a> is the latest musician to broadcast one of Global Citizen\u2019s Together at Home concerts, following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/john-legend\/\" id=\"auto-tag_john-legend\" data-tag=\"john-legend\">John Legend<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/coldplay-chris-martin-together-at-home-coronavirus-968119\/\">Coldplay\u2019s Chris Martin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The musician put on a 30-minute concert via Instagram Live from his home piano, performing songs like \u201cOne Call Away,\u201d \u201cSome Type of Love\u201d and \u201cAttention.\u201d Puth explained that his song \u201cSee You Again\u201d was inspired by &nbsp;a line in <a href=\"https:\/\/billboard.com\/music\/james-taylor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">James Taylor<\/a>\u2018s \u201cYou\u2019ve Got a Friend,\u201d which he also performed for the virtual audience. \u201cJames Taylor is the reason I know how to sing,\u201d Puth said. \u201cI was always obsessed with how he connected Brazilian influences into pop music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the concert, Puth also confirmed he has been collaborating with Legend, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/john-legend-new-album-instagram-live-968981\/\">announced<\/a> he has a new album coming out this year during his own Instagram Live performance earlier this week. \u201cJohn and I have been working on a couple of things for his new record and they\u2019re sounding really, really good, too,\u201d Puth noted.<\/p>\n<p>He concluded the set on an optimistic note, telling viewers, \u201cIf you think about it, it\u2019s the first time the world is in unity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Niall Horan and Common are the next musicians to take up the challenge, as nominated by Puth, and will perform separate sets on Instagram Live on March 19th.
