Anchoring the song with some semblance of warmth, though, is the constant strum of an acoustic guitar and Lanegan\u2019s resonant vocals as he pleads, \u201cBaby, baby, baby don\u2019t you say it\u2019s over\/Now that I ain\u2019t got a dime\/Baby, baby, baby I\u2019m a bleed all over\/Just one lonely last time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cBleed All Over\u201d marks the second offering off <i>Straight Songs of Sorrow<\/i>, following the seven-minute \u201cSkeleton Key.\u201d <i>Straight Songs of Sorrow<\/i> follows Lanegan\u2019s 2019 LP, <i>Something\u2019s Knocking<\/i>, and will serve as a musical accompaniment of sorts to his upcoming memoir, <i>Sing Backwards and Weep<\/i>, which will be published April 28th.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWriting the book, I didn\u2019t get catharsis,\u201d Lanegan said of the memoir and new album in a statement. \u201cAll I got was a Pandora\u2019s box full of pain and misery. I went way in and remembered shit I\u2019d put away 20 years ago. But I started writing these songs the minute I was done, and I realized there was a depth of emotion because they were all linked to memories from this book. It was a relief to suddenly go back to music. Then I realized that was the gift of the book: these songs.
