Eddie Vedder presides over the controlled chaos with a voice that crackles with distortion as he narrates a sci-fi story about a devastated planet \u2014 \u201cThe lengths we had to go to then\/To find a place Trump hadn\u2019t fucked up yet\u201d \u2014 that ends with humanity taking a bitter one-way flight to start life again on Mars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cQuick Escape\u201d marks the third offering from <i>Gigaton<\/i>, following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/pearl-jam-dance-of-the-clairvoyants-video-949499\/\">\u201cDance of the Clairvoyants\u201d<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/pearl-jam-superblood-wolfmoon-new-music-video-955131\/\">\u201cSuperblood Wolfmoon.\u201d<\/a> <i>Gigaton <\/i>marks Pearl Jam\u2019s 11th album and first of all-new material since 2013\u2019s <i>Lightning Bolt<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Pearl Jam was supposed to preview <em>Gigaton<\/em> Thursday, March 25th, with a special <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/pearl-jam-new-album-gigaton-dolby-atmos-theater-tickets-963000\/\">one-night-only audio-visual event<\/a> in movie theaters around the country, but that <a href=\"https:\/\/pearljam.com\/onenightonly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">has been postponed<\/a> because of the coronavirus pandemic.
