For those who haven\u2019t already returned their mail-in ballots, there\u2019s still time to drop them off before Election Day on April 7.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a refresher of what\u2019s at stake around the county.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breckenridge<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col\">\n<div class=\"row sd-donation sd-donation-mobile p-0\">\n<div class=\"col-xl-4 p-2\">\n<div data-bg=\"url(https:\/\/cdn.summitdaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/03\/SDN-logo-white-1.png)\" class=\"p-0 mt-2 mb-2 h-75 text-center rocket-lazyload\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.summitdaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/03\/SDN-logo-white-1.png\" class=\"logo m-0 p-0 invisible\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-bg=\"url(https:\/\/cdn.summitdaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/03\/sdn-banner-paypal.jpg)\" class=\"col-xl-8 p-3 text-center rocket-lazyload\">\n<h3 class=\"d-inline mr-3\">Support Local Journalism<\/h3>\n<p><button class=\"btn d-inline\" type=\"button\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/donate\/?utm_source=article&amp;utm_medium=website&amp;utm_campaign=donation&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=mid-article\">Donate<\/a><\/button><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The county\u2019s most crowded pool of mayoral and town council candidates is in Breckenridge, where residents will be voting on the position of mayor and four town council seats.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Eric Mamula (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-eric-mamula-mayoral-experience-will-pay-dividends\/\">Eric Mamula<\/a> is shooting for another four-year term against <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Nate Nadler (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-nate-dogggg-nadler-workforce-is-my-no-1-priority\/\">Nate Nadler<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"James Manella (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-james-manella-development-must-be-slowed-to-protect-town\/\">James Manella<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Town council candidates include current members <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-jeffrey-bergeron-focus-on-quality-of-life-sustainability\/\">Jeffrey Bergeron<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-kelly-owens-attainable-housing-and-child-care-top-list-of-concerns\/\">Kelly Owens<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-dick-carleton-maintaining-quality-of-life-community-character-a-priority\/\">Dick Carleton<\/a>, along with newcomers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-dennis-kuhn-i-will-work-to-keep-sense-of-community-in-breckenridge\/\">Dennis Kuhn<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-kristen-stewart-community-character-collaboration-crucial\/\">Kristen Petitt Stewart<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-emily-wahl-affordability-and-managing-growth-are-top-priorities\/\">Emily Wahl<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-jennifer-mcatamney-a-track-record-of-getting-things-done\/\">Jennifer McAtamney<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-michael-cavanaugh-housing-and-tourism-must-be-addressed\/\">Michael Cavanaugh<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-hal-vatcher-housing-child-care-and-traffic-are-brecks-biggest-issues\/\">Hal Vatcher<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The three council members with the most votes will serve four-year terms, while the person who comes in fourth will serve a two-year term.<\/p>\n<p>Ballots can be dropped off at the Summit County government building drop-box at the corner of Lincoln and Ridge. All ballots must be received by the clerk\u2019s office by 7 p.m. April 7 to be counted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Frisco<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Frisco\u2019s new mayor already has been decided, with current council member <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Hunter Mortensen (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-hunter-mortensen-protecting-workforce-environment-are-keys-to-friscos-success\/\">Hunter Mortensen<\/a> running unopposed for the position.<\/p>\n<p>Though, there are five candidates running for three open town council seats. Candidates include incumbents <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Jessica Burley (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-jessica-burley-environmental-goals-top-priorities\/\">Jessica Burley<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Rick Ihnken (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/opinion\/opinion-rick-ihnken-infrastructure-and-town-identity-a-focus\/\">Rick Ihnken<\/a> along with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Andrew Aerenson (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-andrew-aerenson-quality-of-life-at-root-of-all-council-efforts\/\">Andrew Aerenson<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Andy Held (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-andy-held\/\">Andy Held<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Greg Hess. (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-greg-hess-working-to-keep-frisco-unique\/\">Greg Hess.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Frisco residents can drop their ballots off at the Town Hall vestibule, 1 Main St.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blue River<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Blue River Mayor <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Toby Babich (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-toby-babich-colorado-highway-9-safety-a-top-priority\/\">Toby Babich<\/a> is running unopposed and will retain his position.<\/p>\n<p>There are five candidates hoping to fill three positions on the Blue River Board of Trustees. Both <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Mark Fossett (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-mark-fossett\/\">Mark Fossett<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Joel Dixon (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-joel-dixon-working-to-protect-landowners-rights\/\">Joel Dixon<\/a> are running for reelection against a field that includes <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Kelly Finley (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-kelly-finley-diversity-needed-on-blue-river-board\/\">Kelly Finley<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Tim West (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-tim-west-safety-quality-of-life-for-residents-a-focus\/\">Tim West<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Martie Semmer (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/opinion-martie-semmer-protecting-mountain-environment-is-key\/\">Martie Semmer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Blue River residents also can use a drop-box outside Blue River Town Hall, 0110 Whispering Pines Circle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Montezuma<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With five open seats and five candidates, the Montezuma Board of Trustees already has been decided, including Roberta Maldonado, Noah Landwehr, Jake Still, James Davis and Ben Becker.<\/p>\n<p>Though voters will be asked to voice their opinions on a ballot question, which would allow present and future elected mayors and trustees in Montezuma to serve an unlimited number of consecutive terms in office.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dillon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dillon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/dillon-silverthorne-axe-april-elections-due-to-uncontested-races\/\">canceled its election<\/a> with just three open council spots and three candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Brad Bailey and Kyle Hendricks will both retain their seats on the council, joining newcomer Steven Milroy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Silverthorne<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Silverthorne also canceled its election, with three candidates running unopposed for town council seats.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Spry and Tanya Shattuck will retain their seats, and Amy Manka will join them.<\/p>\n<p><em>Find more information about the April 7 municipal election, including guest commentaries and Q&amp;As with the candidates, at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/election\/\">SummitDaily.com\/election<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/news\/heres-what-summit-county-residents-are-voting-on-in-the-april-7-municipal-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: Summit Daily<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DILLON \u2014 While many important topics have been justifiably pushed to the periphery of the public\u2019s attention amid the new coronavirus pandemic and related closures, the gears of municipal government continue to turn.
